Mi Zamba del Che

Guevara, Ernesto “Che.” Back On The Road: A Journey Through Latin America. Grove Press: New York, 2000.

“…experience of the journey was to lead him towards something entirely different: a greater understanding of the harsh material conditions of the great mass of the people in Latin America, and the corresponding need to do something to improve their lot. In the two years covered by this narrative Guevara dramatically shifts his outlook. He moves from being a detached and cynical observer to becoming a fully-fledged revolutionary…”

Today within what is labeled as the “conscious” or “revolutionary” circles you find many individuals who are firm believers in change. Change is synonymous with the word revolution. The activities the people within those circles are immersed in, whether they are community activists, cultural, musical, and/or political icons, occur with the purpose of serving and bettering original people’s conditions, whom they most popularly refer to as “people of color.”(1) They “fight” for immigrant rights, police brutality, the freedom of political prisoners, for solidarity with the current struggles in our respective mother countries, labeled as third world countries, and even for LGTBQ acceptance. These struggles become known as creating revolution and the people involved label themselves revolutionaries. While the work of many of these beautiful and well-meaning people has some significance, (i.e. in that within their music they created a new sound/genre altogether, or the march/vigil/protest they organized brought new participants, or the poem they wrote created common bonds of struggle). However, it is up for argumentation whether these “revolutionary” methods truly created change in the psycho-social, political, economic status of original people that is truly liberating. It is important to note that these initiatives take place within the framework of the grafted man’s society. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad in his book of speeches, Message to the Blackman in America, details this idea through the context of the so-called African American in the United States, which inevitably becomes the same social-mental conditioning of most original peoples who come to the U.S., mainly the so-called Latino/a. On pages 169 and 170, Elijah states “…so it is with the American Negroes; they are charmed by the luxury of their slave-master, and cannot make up their minds to seek for self something of this good earth, though hated and despised by the rich man and full of sores caused by the evil treatment of the rich man. On top of that he is chased by the rich man’s dogs and still remains a beggar at the gate, through the gates of Paradise were ever open to him…The American Negroes have the same gates of Paradise open to them but are charmed by the wealth of America and cannot see the great opportunity that lies before them.” The quotation articulates the mental state of original people. Throughout their history of oppression they have been led to feel helpless and seeking for solutions with the same people who have kept them in a subordinated state. They have been led to believe that the only way to get a piece of the wealth is by continuing to seek friendship and work within the boundaries their enemies have provided for them. They do not see solution in separation. Even within the ranks of the philosophical so-called Negroes, the preachers held the Christian view of bonding together and forgiving. Elijah saw that this would not yield any advances of freedom for original peoples. The “asking” and “unifying” methods, to him, would never manifest true freedom. This is why he was so critical of Martin Luther King Jr. and his civil rights movement. He didn’t see this as an effective method of liberation for Original people in the United States. Asking a people whose nature was to create chaos, inequality, and confusion, hence devilishment amongst original people, to give them equal rights under the law, was to continue begging. On page 173 he stated, “The Black man in America faces a serious economic problem today and the white race’s Christianity cannot solve it. You, the so-called American Negro, with the help of Allah can solve your own-problem. The truth must be recognized by the black man. He, himself, has assisted greatly in creating this serious problem of unemployment, insecurity and lack. Before the black man can begin to gain economic security, he must be awakened from the dead and gain knowledge, understanding, and wisdom which will enable him to follow my teaching. Islam and only Islam will point the way out of the entanglement of ‘want in the midst of plenty’ for the followers of Islam, the true religion of the black nation.” Here Elijah is clearly stating that before we can even start devising the mechanisms of how to attain economic and social independence, original people must first be awakened to the truth of themselves and of this world. Education is the first step in the trickling down process of enlightenment. It brings all the pieces of the puzzle together. Islam is the culture of Mathematics and Science through its application of the Self, to gain a deeper awareness of everything. Therefore, those asking for rights and equality are doing so with blind eyes to the truth of the All. Without the awareness of who the white man and who the original man is, no accurate solutions can be devised. This idea of asking and seeking a solution by negotiating with the same people that have kept one in bondage yields results that only add-on more efficiently to the illusion of equality.

In Latin America because of the vast economic oppression, and the U.S. ideas of racism that have been implanted within the people, we learn that to those fighting for sovereignty do so from the same government the so-called Negro has had to struggle against. In the South of the Western Hemisphere, this has come to be known as U.S. imperialism and neocolonialism. So-called Latin Americans, because their independence movements led to the concept of nationalism as a marker of identity (i.e. Mexico-Mexican, Brazil-Brazilian), have fought ardently the usurpation of their economy by world powers. Like the so-called African American, these areas are heavily dominated by the Christian doctrines. Religion plays a big role in the formation of ideas within the society of original peoples. So ingrained are the Christian concepts that they are found synchronized with the original spiritualities, as in in the Yoruba Santeria faith of the Caribbean and Curanderia of Mexico/Central America. This idea of “placing at the centre the historic figure of Jesus, the true Jesus of Nazareth, and believing in him and no other abstraction - Christ Messiah, Son of the Living God, the Word Made Flesh and Blood”(2) is one that has kept the people from mentally dead to the reality of themselves and from fighting efficiently against the Yankee devils. The church teaches that we must wait and pray for better things to come, that we must love thy neighbor, and that remaining faithful to our Lord and the Virgin will bring an abundance of wealth into our lives. Examining Che’s trajectory as a true revolutionary for the liberation of original peoples in Latin America, we can understand the application of Elijah’s teaching of Separation and Father Allah’s teaching of True Islam, within the Latin American context of acclaiming one’s Indian culture and roots, fighting the racism against the “Indigenas” and U.S. power. Che goes through this same process. One where he first learns the ways of our people in each country, understands the politics behind the economic conditions of each nation, and goes deeper into our ancient societies.

“Explotan al campesino
al minero y al obrero,
cuánto dolor su destino,
hambre miseria y dolor..
Bolívar le dio el camino
y Guevara lo siguió:
liberar a nuestro pueblo
del dominio explotador.”
–Victor Jara, Zamba del Che

Reading his journal, where he traveled for the second time throughout Latin America, Central America, and ending up in Cuba, was a refreshing experience that allowed me to get a glimpse of his development from Ernesto Guevara, the doctor, to el Che, the socialist and revolutionary. What’s most important in this compilation of diary entries and letters sent to his mother, aunt, and Tita Infante (his long time friend), Che exposes his political and humanistic evolutionary process. This inspires me to provide an analysis of his experiences living in Latin America without the middle-class status he denounces, and leaves behind, in connection to his political narration of each country he visits that eventually transforms him into a full-blown righteous fighter for the poor. Towards the end of his growth as a devotee of marginalized peoples, Che becomes somewhat of a Simon Bolivar, identifying deeply with all of Latin America and not necessarily with his native Argentina. In fact, in a letter to his mother he stated, “Anyway, the truth is that Argentina is extremely dull…”(88). This idea of one people, one land is one that resonates with the teachings of the Nation of God and Earth, where we say we are all really one tribe, varying within our experience of blackness, which makes it one deep reality. We even have a degree directly addressing the issue of Oneness. The 7th degree in the 1-14 says, “Why does the devil call our people African?” and the ending statement to this degree is, “to make us think we are all different.” The label points to a loss of knowledge of who we are due to the oppressive measures taken by the grafted man, which leads to false identities based on geographical locations: Nationalities. It is precisely this felt connection with the peoples of the world that aided his decision in liberating Cuba. With this, the intention is to provide those with limited knowledge on this historical figure a framework that will inspire readers in furthering their understanding of this original man.

Che’s second journey begins on July 7th, 1953 at La Quiaca, Argentina, very close to the Bolivian border. Perhaps of most interest in his trajectory is the knowledge acquired through the many lived realities that led him to a solid understanding of his most deepest thoughts; he would devote his time mechanizing ways in which to help the disfranchised, particularly against Yankee imperialism, and would inevitably connect with an alternative system that had characteristics of justice inscribed in its core: socialism/communism. Of note, Che was present in the actual revolutions and anti-communist movements taking place in most of the countries he visited. During his initial stay in Bolivia, Che’s journal narration opens with a detailed account of revolution and changes taking place in this nation. The new social position Indians and Mestizos embraced Che regarded as important as well the youth’s involvement in the redistribution of wealth. From then on, all throughout his narration, Che seems to focus upon the changes occurring for the poor, specifically of the leftist movements forming in each nation.

Throughout his voyage, Che struggled with finding work, nourishing himself appropriately, resulting in chronic asthma attacks, and maintaining a flow of cash for his daily living. He struggled with paying the rent and finding work that could pay him enough to survive. His journal entries contained references to these hardships, he would write things like “I am falling into debt…The days have passed with the usual chain of hopes and disappointments that characterize my proletarian life” (89). These were harsh conditions he endured and survived. They reinforced within him the growth of his revolutionary spirit, hence the spirit of all original people in Latin America. This is the hell (12. L-Love, Hell, or Right) that he imposed upon himself to come out right as a man who already possessed moral convictions unmatched to anyone of its time. During this early formative period, Che starts to realize that although medicine is a profession he likes and respects, it is one that comes with privilege and must be used for the benefit of all. In a series of letters to his mother, Che describes his great efforts in finding work, but denials and “no” were the responses he commonly received. He was well aware that he could have discontinued struggling if he wanted to, but to do that would mean to sacrifice his principles. In one of the letters he wrote to his mother he states, “I could become very rich in Guatemala, but by the low method of ratifying my title, opening a clinic and specializing in allergies (it’s full of tell-tale colleagues here). To do that would be the most horrible betrayal of the two I’s struggling inside me: the socialist and the traveler” (61). His true inclinations are solidified when Guatemala City is attacked by pirate aircraft. This united all Guatemalans and revolutionaries attracted by the changes occurring that favored the poor. Che rapidly reported to the youth brigades.

Up until this period he spent most of his time writing, traveling, observing, and exchanging thoughts with friends about topics relating to economics and politics. The friends and associates he made were through previous contacts in his travels. These varied from ambassadors, leaders of political parties, reformers, poets, intellectuals, doctors, and others. While these people held high ranks in their respective line of work, they were also figures who held sentiments favoring the betterment of people without power. They ranged from progressive liberals to full blown communist leaders. Most were critics of the institutions of power and the clever/exploitative policies of the “Yankees” (United States) in their countries. Some notable leaders he encountered were the “Dominican short-story writer and revolutionary, Juan Bosch, and Costa Rican communist leader Manuel Mora Valverde” (30). His discussion with Juan Bosch revolved around the many corrupt leaders in Latin America, like Batista and Perón. Valverde provided an extensive history on Costa Rican politics and the failures of the Communist Party. Among the various people he met were Mariano Oteiza, president of the Panama Student Federation and a sculptor by the name of Manuel Teijero. Other members of the federation he met were Adolfo Benedetti, Rómulo Escobar, and Isaías García. In Guatemala, Che met Carlos Manuel Pellecer, a peasant leader with communist leanings. He also became acquainted with Peñalver, a Venezuelan exile. Amongst the multiple other people he met were Mario Sosa Navarro, Alfonso Vanergais, Edelberto Torres, and Señora Helena de Holst. One of the first he meets is Hilda Gadea, who would later become his first wife. There are endless names of other people he meets in his travels, culminating with Cuban leader Fidel Castro, and simply one of the baddest mothafuckas the world has seen in the last few decades.

Throughout his narration of the situation in Guatemala, Che is very sympathetic towards the Arbenz government and he seems to express frustration when he writes of the forced resignation of Arbenz. He characterizes the Yankees (“gringos”) as hypocrites due to the not-so good neighbor policies of being behind the bombing and attacks committed to the Guatemalan people. In the succeeding days after Arbenz’s fall, the country becomes immersed in chaos. All people with alternative politics were deemed as “communists.” Therefore, many people had to flee to the embassies for fear of persecution. Hilda, Che’s wife, was one of the people held captive, but was later freed. Che was able to file for voluntary exile and headed towards Mexico.

Once in Mexico, Che writes another letter to his mother where he talks about Argentine politics and the communist party there. He states “I think they deserve respect, and sooner or later I will join the Party myself” (88). Throughout his time in Mexico, he was always connected to the original culture around him. In one particular event he describes and looks for the unifying characteristics between the peoples of the various nations he visited. He wrote, “On Sunday I went to the Virgin of Guadalupe Day, which wasn’t as crowded as people say it usually is. As always it was a mixture of pagan festivities and a bit of religion; a lot of Indians made to look more like Indians, with a simple rhythmic music similar to that of Peru or Bolivia”(90). It was this continual immersion within the people that would lead him to have a deeper realization of who he was as an original man and who our people were as a whole. This mixture of understanding the politics governing Latin America, as well as the people who made up the nations, brought Che closer to attaining deep awareness of Self and the world. In another letter to his mother he gives a detailed example of how he’s come to the realization that politics is governed by a set of scientific principles which the Yankees use to keep Latin American submerged in oppression. “As to the changes in my thinking which, as you see it, are becoming sharper…The manner in which the gringos treat the American continent (remember that the gringos are Yankees) aroused my growing indignation, but at the same time I studied the theoretical explanation for what they do and found that it was scientific”(91-92). By studying the concepts within political science and experiencing first-hand how they manifest within the living situation of the people, Che was able to clearly see this science of Yankee (devil) oppression. Just as those with higher awareness of self realized the science of Separation as it is explained by Yacub’s rules and regulations to metaphorically denote how all the original seeds became detached through the creation of the grafted man, Che was able to understand the science that plays out to create material inequality. It is precisely in this time of his life where he decides to join the Cuban Revolution.

“Caminando entre valles y montañas
para siempre tu imagen guerrillera
y tu sangre corre ya por nuestras venas
y se agiten los techos bolivianos…”
–Ali Primera, Comandante Amigo

Che’s knowledge on poor people it’s not just confined to the circle of revolutionaries he was immersed in. His observations from his lived experience shed light on his deep understanding of the state of the poor population. There exists evidence, from what is known of his life, that he really did understand the life of the poor, which to some extent he experienced as well. By the time he makes his first trip out of Argentina, his family lives in lower middle class conditions. The constant battle with finding work in Guatemala, his constant analysis of the treatment of the “Indian” in the places he visited, and the times he spent with oppressed people are all strong indicators of his understanding. In Bolivia, when visiting a farm ran by Salesian priests, he was reminded of an idea a teacher he knew once said, in which he refers to the animals as being regarded and treated better than the Indians. Che said, “I did not say anything in reply. But the Indian continues to be an animal for the white mind, especially for Europeans, whichever holy order they belong to” (6). Che further describes a visit to a national mine where the workers are not present in honor of the Day of the Indian and the Agrarian Reform. On a visit to the Ministry of Peasant Affairs, he witnesses an atrocity. There were different cultural indigenous groups waiting to be given an audience; once each assembly went in they are sprinkled with DDT, a hazardous pesticide. Che was well aware that these were actions resulting from the deep hatred against the indigenous populations of these nations. Moments like this resulted in Che’s reaffirmation of his commitment to bettering the conditions of indigenous peoples.

Perhaps one can grasp Che’s deep insights of the conditions of the poor in his paper, entitled “A Look from the Banks of the Giant Rivers” where he provides a beautiful and precise description of the Amazon;s inhabitants. During his visit to the Amazon, Che’s mission was to visit a colony of patients living with Hansen’s disease, popularly known as Leprosy. As he travels through the forest he becomes aware of the daily live of the people of the area: the Yaguas. He provides a detailed portrayal of the Yaguas’ living conditions that has changed from a forest clearing, due to the rain season, to the highlands. It is here that Che learns of their lifestyles and the extreme condition of their poverty. It seems as if the life of a Yagua is limited to obtaining food nourishment due to the season’s effect on the change of available food. Their expertise in fishing was one of the most efficient techniques he'd ever seen. No one in the tribe worked unless it was to eat (122). To live in a jungle, one must have vast knowledge on what plants are poisonous and which aren’t. Walking into unknown areas can prove to be fatal. To avoid this, one learns the plants’ positions very well. The humility and kindness these people contained were two of the traits that he described in his account. Before leaving the tribe, they were met with a wonderful goodbye ceremony and were given a monkey to feast on. The fact that these people even welcomed Che and others into their living environment shows their lack of assuming. This experienced allowed Che to see a population adapted to living conditions that are to an immense extreme to the way other populations of people had ever lived. This particular group of Native peoples allowed him to add-on deeper understanding.

There are other interesting aspects of el Che, such as his vast knowledge of archeology and his true love for ancient civilizations, specifically the Mayan, which adds to his all around thinking as a revolutionary. However, this topic is a whole new essay. Instead I will provide a fact that, those of us who have studied the subject know, about the realization Che came to after having visited the Mayan cities of Uxmal and Chichén-Itzá; “Here I became completely convinced of what my American identity had refused to be convinced of: namely, that our forefathers were Asiatic”(58). Che’s growth in ideas leads him to explore the deeper concepts of the Self, or our origins. In learning and seeing what our ancestors left behind (studying our older history of Blackness), he sees a blockage from fully living our reality with the presence of U.S. interests in our land and forms a philosophy guided by equality (socialism) and unity amongst all of Latin America and the separation from the U.S. government. This means that true revolution comes with the fight that one will separate from the devils creating chaos and for learning that we are all one people must unite as the tribe we once were. This is what the Cuban revolution was all about and how Che was able to add-on uniquely. What is to be admired most about Che is his transgression as a Man, Scholar,Thinker and Revolutionary is that he never denied the bit of privileged he possessed. Just like Fidel he used this privilege to clearly analyze and portray the situation of all original peoples in Latin America. His character of set principles (just like the God and Earth are guided by their determined right and exact principles) that he outlined a revolutionary should always have with him is what still is taught and lived on today within the youth of Cuban society. It doesn't get any better when he ruggedly wrote to his mother, "What [really] gets me down is your lack of understanding for all this and your advice about moderation, egoism, and so on: in other words, the most execrable qualities an individual can have...if I ever detect in myself that the sacred flame has given way to a timid votive flicker, the least I can do is vomit over my own shit"(109). It was that driving flame that he sought to preserve, the energy of righteousness and truth that he carried within himself. That's the same form of energy the Father carried with him, when he decided that true separation came with the accurate teachings of Islam, that, just as our ancients had already studied and known, everything was a reflection of the mind itself.

Peace!

(1) It is important to note that people of color, although I won’t provide any etymological nor historical roots of the adaptation and usage of these words, it is an incorrect term to designate to original people. Scientifically when we refer to people that are of color we are referring to those who reflect light. The black, brown and yellow seeds are all capable of alchemizing/processing melanin by absorbing the energy of the sun. Thus, when we speak about a true people of color these have to be the Caucasoid who are not able to activate their melanin. This means they are literally reflecting back the sun light. The usage of the words it is a mental conditioning we still deal with as it was wrongly adapted by the original populations attending institutions of higher learning. To them, it was a form a raising the esteem and awareness of their populations of these college campuses.

The Science of Love

Love is arguably the most extensively explored and studied concept, through music, writings, revolution, and science, from the beginning of our most recent Quran. It has been used to express and make some beautiful creations. Some say that Love is to reach a form of enlightenment where at its peak, love making, the orgasms men and women experience become an ecstasy allowing a divine spiritual interchange, in the carnal realm, between two beings. It is at this moment, both individual entities are communicating within their spiritual plane, thus making the ultimate expression of Love a unique experience of awareness because it is not done by dissociating from the world and experiencing emptiness, as the Buddhist doctrines document, rather through a process of fullness (Love, the feeling) that becomes empty through the letting go (orgasms, the action) where for a moment the self is taken to a level of interactive consciousness. Thus, love is a state of awareness of the deepest feelings one can have for another being (1), love making provides one to share that feeling in its most intimate manner (2), which eventually leads to a new level of understanding amongst these beings (3). However, for many of us, this ain't even the case.

Modern scholar and brother Kaba Hia Watha Kamene, formerly known as Booker T. Coleman, and Sunez Allah of the Nation of God and Earth have extensively discussed the ideas of sex and reproduction as it relates to the nature of the Original man and woman. In his lecture entitled "The Hidden Wisdom of the Black Hole" Kamene vividly applies the science he refers to as astronomical biology/biological astronomy to accurately explain the role of the Original woman in regards to her universal nature. He explains that science is the most supreme way of looking at this concept because it represents all knowledge. He comes to this reasoning by way examining the nature of God, an omniscient being, meaning all knowing. In ancient KMT, this being was represented by a bird, Tehuti,  whose counterpart was what looked as an female ostrich, Maa't. She represented justice, balance, and the path. What this all means is that the nature of the original woman is one aligned with the way to knowledge. She literally represents that aspect of providing the way to manifest thought, to give it a physical reality.  It is in this way that the creator can truly create and make creation.  This is in essence, part of Sunez's teachings. Thus, woman is the road, the space to make known the unknown. She is not a vehicle, nor an aiding secondary factor, but the counterpart that tells the later half of the story.  These ideas are further contextualized when applied to the action of sex. Kamene points out that the original woman's womb is like a magnetic field, naturally gravitating the sperm, which carries an electrical charge. This attractive force is what allows reproduction to occur. The white woman does not have this magnetism within her and the white man has no electrical current. This is why Original women were able to have 20+ children. My maternal grandmother bore 10 children and her mother 20. My paternal great grandmother had 25. This interaction between the original man and woman acts as a recharging and building of energies for both beings.  What the original woman can do for the man during sex is astounding. She literally provides and rejuvenates his energy that allow both to achieve higher states of consciousness. This is why  it is about staying inside, not coming out. Promiscuity is not biologically compatible with our supreme nature. The more one thinks about having sex with different people, the more our energy dwindles and disperses. Our chi becomes weak. Essentially, the sexual experience is one that aids in the building of our  internal energy (the mind) through the love that is expressed in the act, as stated earlier.

The vast majority of Original people, including those who have knowledge of themselves, experience love in its most menial state, which in some cases can easily be dismissed with the saying “it is better to have loved, than to not have loved at all.” The complex, but recognizable patterns of unsuccessful relationships between original peoples are deeply embedded in the historical narration of the philosophical, mathematical, and scientific intrusions made on the Original man and woman that made them lose sight of the true nature of their relationship. Some of these specific reasons include: a) the ideas of white male patriarchy as an internalized oppressive state of the male & female original mind, b) the disconnection of our true selves and the mental assimilation into grafted cultural/social standards, and c) the loss of engaging the concept of love into a real scientific context of study to finding one's match.

Most of our studies have always focused on the obvious oppression of our people, which have been race and economics, while the most important remains hidden and if not; its coverage is done irresponsibly leaving holes in the research. It is important we do not fall victim to the grafted man's most overlooked oppressive measure: the separation of the genders. The sacred union of man and woman easily disintegrated from the minute the devils made contact with original people. The details of this separation can be most closely observed during the Plantation system of human slavery of our knowledge seed brothers and sisters. Here we can see how life in the plantation led to a dismantling of the union of the Black couple by the measures the white man took in the roles of each. The idea that a master had a right to be with any of his women slaves at any moment, took power away from the black man, not only because that was his woman, but because there was nothing he could do to stop the situation of the sexual violation/maltreatment of his woman. The proceedings of these actions were so vile, that it caused great psychic terror within the male slave. It was common for the male to leave the hut where he lived with his female companion so that his master might enter at any moment and do what he willed with the female. The black man’s terror instinctively provoked a reaction of self-preservation. It was not that he did not care for the black woman; rather he now saw it as a matter of survival. Of course, there were exceptions to the rule. Many black women sought the help of powerful men within the plantation to ward off possible dangers. Most times, however, it was not from the masters, but from other males in the plantation who mimicked the patriarchal behavior. Here we see a division caused by fear.

bell hooks, in her book, Ain't I A Woman, provides a structural view of how power was taken away from the black male. She writes,
"As far back as slavery, white people established a social hierarchy based on race and sex that ranked white men first, white women second, though sometimes equal to black men, who are ranked third, and black women last. What this means in terms of sexual politics of rape is that if one white woman is raped by a black man, it is seen as more important, more significant than if thousands of black women are raped by one white man"(53).
This dark contrast in the rankings of white man and black woman put the black male into a position of no power. By this order alone he was socialized to belief that if a black woman was raped it was simply because of her ranking. Hooks further details the disposition at which the black woman found herself. She wrote,
“The area that most clearly reveals the differentiation between the status of black male slaves and female slaves is the work area. The black male slave was primarily exploited as a laborer in the fields; the black female slave was exploited as a laborer in the fields, a worker in the domestic household, a breeder, and as an object of white male sexual assault” (22).
While the experience of the male slave was characterized by the loss of his own sense patriarchy as well as his exploited labor conditions in the fields, he was able to retain his masculinity. The black woman’s disposition as the least important was aimed at her destruction, through the effects of racism and sexism, and the black man's social assimilation to white familial norms. This is how he retained his masculinity. While the woman was oppressed sexually and physically, the man adopted norms of Manhood that was not in his reality before, such as being the provider. According to bell hooks, in African society man and woman shared equitable roles. In slavery, this union is ended. On page 44 she writes,
“Sex roles in the black slave sub-culture mirrored those of patriarchal white America. Within the black slave sub-culture it was the black female who cooked for the family, cleaned the hut or cabin, nursed the sick, washed and mended the clothes. Black male slaves regarded tasks like cooking, sewing, nursing, and even minor farm labor as woman’s work.”
Using bell hooks thesis of black womanhood, the experience of slavery is marked by the masculinization of the black woman, the terrorizing and privileging of the black man with positions of leadership within the plantation, and the adoption of white cultural norms that were not the reality of their communities prior to slavery. These were all some of the causes of the destruction of the black couple in the Western Hemisphere. The behavior that then comes out of that legacy, in modern times, plagues the relationships between Gods and Earths. It is a mental inheritance that time and time again, has proven does not coincide with who we are as black people and the main reason why so many black relationships fail.

When we learn who were truly are, no matter if the majority are still blind, deaf, dumb, and that mathematics is the law and order of Islam with science as the tool used to prove and legitimize everything that goes through that order, then we can start applying how to find love correctly. Love is Mathematics and can be truly found through its application and testing with the Scientific Process. Finding Love as God and Earth is different because we are no longer dealing with the mysterious aspects of it, such as "I know everything about him/her," "It was love at first sight," and can now truly apply its meaning to finding our better second halves. Dealing with love mysteriously will not allow us to truly find a compatible mate to share one's life with. If one takes the science of Love and apply it to find our God and Earth, then we are starting to apply our true nature as scientists. This we must do even when forming our respective universes-ciphers. The scientific method entails asking a question, gathering some background research, forming a controlled experiment, conducting the same experiment with different variables, and analyzing all results to bring forth conclusions. In short, in its elementary form, the scientific method has a hypothesis, the controlled experiment, the variables, and the results.

"Yo, Power Equality, Allah C's Everything my Queen
What up Love, won't you just slide under my wings
so we can take flight, to the edge of the night
And like doves, we makin' love above the bright moonlight
You know I fills you, so let my love pass and spill through
your sexual vessels, that bless you then fills you
up with knowledge and wisdom you understandin'
that bring forth the power refines your whole planet.."
-RZA on Love Jones
The Hypothesis
When forming our ideas of love, one can base them on experiences from the past to make sure the same mistakes are not made again. So in forming the questions, one can draw the research from our memories so that we can remember what it was that went wrong. The hypothesis can simply be the question that everyone asks when potentially choosing a mate: "Can this person truly be the one I can share my life with and both agree in the way in which we are going to live it?" "Can this person be reciprocal to the teachings and lifestyle of a God and Earth?" To me, these are two fundamental questions that can lead to a full exploration of the possibility that true romantic love could flourish in its most ideal form; that between the true and living.

Those already in relationships, whether stable or unstable, will ask the same forms of questions, but within a different perspective: that of human time. The questions then take the following shape: "After all these years do we still got it going on, as God and Earth?” “Can we add-on to that initial vision of our relationship successfully?”

The Control & Variables

Through the guidance of these questions one can then already have a control, your ex-relationship or your current relationship, especially if it was within the context of the 85% world. If you are single, your ex-relationship can serve as a model with results, both negative and positive, which will be compared later with your variables. By clearly outlining, what you enjoyed about that particular relationship into different categories, for me it would be individual personality, lifestyle, ideas, the moments you spent together around other close family members, that will help map out an assessment where you can keep what you would like to experience and see in the next person you become involved with. Your ex-relationship should serve as the foundation to clarify exactly what type of woman or man you want (i.e. conscious sister/brother, a sister/brother that has been through a lot, but has maintained her/his strength all throughout) and to identify the characteristics and clues that will tell you this person will be prone to living and accepting your lifestyle as God and/or Earth. In this case your variables become the women or men you end up courting, which if dealing with it correctly, can be more than one. In getting to know your variables, go to different locations that can provide realistic views of the person and not where you can easily be fooled with glamorized experiences, like those stupid reality dating shows that are clearly all scripted. Talk about the grafted man being frivolous with the science of Love, but he's a faggot anyway so what does that matter right? Makes sense for him to make these shows as fake as possible, even if he's using original people for them. While in your "variable" stage, go to places the person eats at, is involved in some sort of project, and spend their personal time. Meet the people involved in that person's social cipher that way you can gain a deeper understanding of who that person is. One learns a lot from the people another is around. It's important to see how that person lives. Ideally, two mature adults will not engage in physical intimacy until they both have acknowledged that they are ready for this step. This should be the last step and it should be done with the person you have chosen to be your God and Earth out of all your variables. Many people feel that before choosing the "One" is it important to get a taste of the sexual chemistry. I disagree with this rationale. Sexual intimacy does not bring love, rather it expresses the love two beings feel for one another, as detailed in the first paragraph. Many original women who fall victim to promiscuity do it precisely because they feel this is the way to find and get love. If everything is right and the connection is already there, then the chemistry of expressing one's feelings will be nothing short of a sparkling experience. Love-making is an art, and the different positions that a couple makes will come out naturally to express how deep that love is. If this person is already a God/Earth, in addition to examining what’s outlined, make sure that the way in which you both live out the knowledge are a reflection of how both cee it. It is imperative in seeing if the match is correct. One should maintain writings of this journey, jotting down feelings and experiences. Referring back to these writings will help remember exactly the different aspects you liked about all individuals you've been dealing with. At a certain point, you might even think you are in love with all these men/women and might want to Earth or God all of them up! But it will be the details of the deepest moments you shared together that will dictate who the right person is. It is important to receive feedback from close family members and friends, but their 85% frameworks of love and courting might not fit your reality of God and Earth love, therefore take it at face value. Some of these details from your journey with your potential partner you might not remember, but keeping them in writing will do wonders in making that final decision. One important factor in all this is honesty. Use it as one of the underlying principles guiding you through this process. You will learn a lot from the reactions your variables will have in regards to the word itself.

If you are in a relationship in which you are happy, feel satisfied, and productive, you have the option of re-testing it to make sure it is a strong foundation. It is not hard to apply the "variables" to one person. You follow the same procedures outlined above, but with your current husband and/or wife. This will allow you to see the reason why both fell in love and bring forth new aspects of each other that none were aware before. In short, this will enrich and strengthen the foundation of your relationship and add new aspects to foster its growth. For example, a husband might take out his wife to the new Jazz spot, because of his wife's love of jazz, and then to dinner at a restaurant from a country they've never tasted the food. A good conversation can spark ideas and thoughts never shared with each other, which in turn, result in a rejuvenation of communication. In essence, the purpose of the happy couple's application of the variables will serve to enrich their union. The same process goes for those who are unhappy in their relationships. It is important to pay attention to one's feelings because they tune us in to further exploration of what is not going right. To do this, one must structure the "control" with the current status of the relationship, outlining the major setbacks. Most likely individuals don't feel satisfied in their relationships because they feel constricted by the other person to build and create. It could also just be that there is not enough quality time being spent by the couple because of the hectic lifestyle of raising children. Another major component could be the way in which the devil's civilization is affecting the harmony of the home (food, clothing, and shelter). It is important that the variables then be the changes that will be applied to the relationship to test their usefulness. For example, the wife has been unemployed for about 10 months and the husband just lost his job, although receiving unemployment. This has brought a mix of feelings from both of disappointment, anger, frustration, and sadness. It has affected them to such an extent where they have become verbally abusive towards each other. Seeking to change the situation the couple outlines the feelings and hurt they have caused towards one another. At this stage, they outline the "control." They study it and discuss the issue in depth and decide on a solution. They have each paid the internet, identified what sector they are seeking a job in, prepared their resumes, searched and selected jobs that they qualify for, and apply for them. It is a matter of time before they are employed and meanwhile, they budget accordingly. These applied variables have changed and allowed for an easier navigation through the devil's civilization, while rekindling their love.

Analysis of Results and Conclusions

Throughout your journey, you should have collected some data that will aid in deciding your march. Your data can vary from memories, artifacts (i.e. an object given to you by your variables), as well as some written materials which detail some of your experiences. As written in the controls and variables section, refer back to these writings to help you remember some of the details that can make a difference in answering your hypothesis. The answer to the first question will be found deep inside yourself. Ask yourself, “Who did you feel most connected to?” “Who do you have most in common with?” These sub-questions will lead to a full answering of your hypothesis question. Careful in dealing with fear, fear of uniting with a beautiful black man and/or woman have kept us apart from this most natural and sacred law. It’s like in the movies “The Wood” and “The Best Man” where we are presented with the reluctance the black male has in solidifying his love by uniting his life to hers. This is fear. When we find the one we should embrace the unknown (x). It is what is to come that will bring forth the strongest understanding of love. Look over all your data and read over your hypothesis question: "Can this person truly be the one I can share my life with and both agree in the way in which we are going to live it?" The person who reaches that answer most closely should be the one with the highest potential. Attraction shouldn’t be a problem in determining the one because the variables should have been chosen precisely because of this feeling. The variable that answers the hypothesis in its entirety should have the qualities of a God or Earth. This variable should have shown interest in the lifestyle to the extent where they are willing to embrace and immediately start the teachings and culture of liberation. Deep emotional feelings +compatibility in lifestyle +embrace of God & Earth culture= YOUR MATCH, the conclusion of your hypothesis.

For those already in relationships the answer to your hypothesis questions will come with your points of view in the variables you put forth to change your situation. If they were successful and you find these experiences were needed, then you must continue to give each other that time needed. Only then can you continue to solidify that relationship.

The Mathematics and the Scientific Process

In all the different stages of the scientific process, mathematics is the order by which the “experiment” is manifesting. Knowledge, Wisdom, and Understanding is embedded within the hypothesis, the application of the variables, and the analysis of results. Formulating the questions that will lead to the conduction of the experiment requires the gathering of previous information. This is learning the information, applying it, to get an accurate portrayal of what should be done different, which become the variables. These are all the inner components (1,2,3) of the mathematics. In carrying out the variables of the experiment, it is not hard to realize that these are the outer components of the mathematics (4,5,6). Culture/Freedom really set the tones for the vibe, style and principles that guide you while dating different people. As mentioned above, honesty is the principle that should be embedded within your culture of dating, guiding a person when partaking in this science because it will allow a freedom to come naturally, and preventing drama from arising. This natural freedom will allow the culture to powerfully take a hold over the people you are getting to know, that will bring all of them to a level where all variables are being treated equally. You can also see all of the mathematics partaking in the actual variables. Knowledge, wisdom, and understanding reveal the information both people share about who they are and what they are about. Culture/Freedom, Power/Refinement, and Equality comes with the interactions that together you share and live. God, Build/Destroy, and Born portray the impact and influence each individual has upon each other. It is then that a feeling borns. These final numbers bring us back to the inner reality of the concept of love. (7,8,9) are manifested within the analysis of results and making of conclusions. God shines to see how you were able to apply the reality of the righteous to your variables and which one showed and prove that they can deal with the lifestyle. Build/Destroy is the actual process of choosing one of the variables. Born is at the moment when you've actually chosen him/her. Cipher is the reality that life will continue with this person in it. So within the scientific method, embedded and guiding the order of the experiment is the mathematics.

To get a graphic representation the mathematics and the scientific process correspond in the following manner:

Knowledge, Wisdom, Understanding= Hypothesis, Research, Control
Culture/Freedom, Power/Refinement, Equality= Variables= All the Mathematics
God, Build/Destroy, Born=Results and Conclusions

Gossip Within the Righteous: Prevention Towards Building an Independent Nation

As I walked in through the left hand side of the Harriet Tubman school I was greeted by the usual Earths who are committed to the security of our monthly gathering known as the Universal Parliament or Rally of the Nation of God and Earth. A look around provided me with the familiar panorama of Older Gods catching up and building on both sides of the entrance, the God Seuku setting up his elaborate collection of scholarly books and DVD's up for sale in the front, the God Infinite Al'Jamar selling his black family publication containing different builds on our pedagogy and lessons, and along the hallway the other Gods and Earths who sell five percenter merchandise for those seeking to visibility add-on to their righteous fashion, as well as the Earth Victorious LanasiaEarth Shabazz selling copies of the 14th Degree and Beyond, the popular Earth publication. A walk down the hall were the doors that led into the cafeteria where some of the Earths commit to setting up and displaying a myriad of dishes for those attending to eat. It is in this area that I sat with Sunez Allah to sell copies of the Knowledge of Self Anthology until we were called in for Nation Business inside the auditorium.

During Nation Business the God Dumar Wade Allah, who doesn't like to be pigeon-holed as an "older God," because as he says "I am older than some, but younger than many," to refer to himself as someone that does not have all the answers, but rather is a part of a set of men and women who have different experiences and knowledge of the world, engaged in a very powerful and interesting dialogue whose overriding message was the need to build an infrastructure of institutions and services within the nation that would bring worth the revenue and talents needed to build an independent community from that of the devil's civilization. Dumar's words reminded me of Elijah's, being that our lessons derive from Elijah's teachings, two premises for the Program for Self-Development and for the Economic Blueprint speeches stood out in my mind, "1) Recognize the necessity for unity and group operation (activities), 2) pool your resources, education, and qualifications for independence" (173, 171), as Dumar exclaimed, Why is it that our kids are D students? It's not because they are stupid or because the parents don't care, is because they don't have the services needed to bring them to that level." With this point, he announced the making of a book that would contain a compilation of many Gods and Earths with a description of their branch of expertise, whether it be finance, education, carpentry, etc. The purpose of this book is for its dissemination amongst Gods and Earths to be used as a resource for those seeking services without having to resort to the devil's civilization for them. As God Dumar spoke of its aim, I immediately thought of the 6th degree in the 1-36: "He likes the devil because the devil gives him nothing." Why is it that many of our apartments don't have the adequate heating and hot water requirements? Why are our schools structurally at the lowest levels of national academic achievement? Why is it that the images of positive Black figures for our kids are only visible in sports and music? These questions ran through my mind as the God continued his build, filled with beautifully and rapidly recited degrees that were relevant to the discussion. Before moving on to other ideas that he would later build on, he ended with encouraging Gods and Earths to seek the God Sabu Supreme Allah for their inclusion in the book, and to talk to Father Bushawn to discuss the details of building infrastructure for the nation.

After God Dumar's build, who I later learned is actually our National Spokesperson, I connected the concepts built upon to the teachings and initiatives of Marcus Garvey, Elijah Muhammad, and Booker T. Washington who all with different techniques and strategies had the same idea: An independent Black nation. Marcus and his philosophical inclinations to one people, one continent, sought to move all knowledge seeds back to Africa, Elijah and his application of the concepts in the bible to portray the oppressive framework of the white man unto the so-called Negro in America, therefore calling all converted Muslims to build an independent nation through his elaborate economic plan, and Booker T. Washington who used his experience as a former slave to portray himself as a sell-out to receive the funds from rich whites and build the biggest- most successful school of his time that taught all those who with fear remained tied to their slave masters, after emancipation, to build themselves from the ground up. Decades later and with new original people added (so-called Latinos & Asians), we are still exploring the idea of separation for true freedom from the devil's civilization. Obviously, this has to do with the fact that no true separation has been attained, especially for the NGE at any level within the system. Most of us remain plagued by addictions, everyday hustles, low-self esteem, baby-mama drama, and other issues that continue to affect us socially (family, friends) and in turn affect us in our economic initiatives (jobs, hustles). It is then, that I also thought about my own ideas about a separate and free black society.

Elijah's movement of separation, later adapted by Father Allah who actualized and applied the science and mathematics to show and prove our supreme Nature as God and Earth, makes it the most right and exact of its time. It is this model that the NGE continues to pursue and to carry out, but with a premise that is much different than the NOI: no hierarchies based on different levels of knowledge and power. We do not seek to have our infrastructures serve as varying levels of power, but rather working as entities that are interconnected as an egalitarian unit of resources for our society. Each entity containing its unique services while all our people share the wealth of Knowledge, Wisdom, and Understanding transparently. Meaning, no Muhammad is higher than an X. (lol) The fluidity of our nation would come with the underlying principles that each God and Earth will live by. It will be the principles embedded within our culture (4) that will powerfully and constantly refine (5) the different realities of all black families equally (6). In turn, this will allow for us all to continue to reaffirm who we are (7) and add on greater (8) to our society, including the institutions in place that will born all of our people's greatest contributions to the world (9). In short, mathematics in application with the ideal principles of the original man and woman will carry out society in its natural universal order. The scientific process will work alongside mathematics to continuously challenge and question our current order to maintain its right and exact status. For we must not remain satisfied and sure our society continues to work in this way, we must show and prove it. This is the essence of no mystery and of a TRUE BLACK society.

"4. Why did we run Yacub and his made Devils from the root of civilization across the hot Arabian desert into the caves of West Asia as they now it Europe?...Answer: Because they started making trouble amongst the righteous people. Accusing the righteous people of telling lies, causing them to fight and kill one another...(#4 from Lost Found Muslim Lesson #1, 1-14)."

That we know we are the True and Living God and Earth should be the stepping stone which dictates how we will fully liberate ourselves from the devil. This is the most beautiful teaching we've received, but it has failed to be applied properly by many of us because we have yet to apply the principles by which a God and Earth live by. Due to our failure in defining and applying/living these principles, we have been weakened to the extent that we have allowed the dynamics of the 85 world, the grafted man's poison, to be amongst the righteous.

In his reaffirmation that the building of an infrastructure for the NGE is a brilliant and beneficial undertaking, Dumar Wade Allah stated, "So many of us are caught in the negative, 10,000 can be doing negative things, and 1 of us can be do positive things, I will always talk about the positive because it is above the negative." He continued to talk about the many ways in which we turn against each other: Gods discussing degrees: "oh God well I don't see it like that," "God that aint right and exact," A newborn walking around with his flag: "how you cee this degree." He continued to talk about how we really don't know each other, the potentially of agents hiding under the name, of fake-Gods who walk around with flags without memorizing 120, as well as other relevant issues.

In Elijah's chapter 5 about the devil, in his book Message to the Blackman, describes the main mechanism Yakub's grafted devil undertook to cause confusion amongst the righteous society of the original people. Through gossip, chisme in Spanish, the devil was able to separate all original people to the point where unity was dissolved and hatred erupted. People who were once a family, were now distrusting each other through hearsay that could not be shown and proven. In one of his speeches, he states,

" Mr. Yakub taught his made devils on Pelan: 'That-when you go back to the holy black nation, rent a room in their homes. Teach your wives to go out the next morning around the neighborhoods of people, and tell that you heard her talking about them last night. When you have gotten them fighting and killing each other, then ask them to let you help them settle your disputes, and restore peace among them. If they agree, then you will be able to rule them both'"(117).

It is this same method of divide and conquer that many Gods and Earths have fell victim too. Brought out through gossip, Gods and Earths who don't know each other never really get to know each other because of the hearsay that makes them have a preliminary judgment on the person. In addition, those who have groups of their own because they to do work together, eventually perish because the jealous nature of some brings forth the lack of true brotherhood and/or sisterhood. There have been instances where Gods and Earths might do business with each other and one of the parties is confronted (as any problem with a person should be taken straight to their face-this is truly honorable and how communication amongst Gods and Earths in the nation should be handled-being upfront) about their lack of word is bond on their methods of carrying out the business association. In return, the party that is confronted seeks to carry out devilishness by 1) spreading a corroded version of the story to others, and 2) involving Gods and Earths that had nothing to do with the problem. This only shows that the party who is giving in to gossip is exhibiting 85% characteristics because they are being led in the wrong direction and that the person gossiping is hiding behind a veil of righteousness. Those exhibiting traits of the 85 then start to comment and pass judgment on the person that the gossip is about. These Gods and Earths might start picking on different personality traits to make their own personal negative comments on the person. For those doing the gossiping, they are hiding behind a veil of righteousness because they are using their involvement with the NGE to justify the gossip being spread. For some people, the gossip simply becomes the excuse they needed to hate a person they formally called their "brother" or their "sister" because in reality, they were internally envious of the constant building of that person. These are the most horrible conditions all sub-ciphers are experiencing or have experienced.

Sometimes issues between Gods and Earths can get so difficult that it has led to God killing God, we know this from the oral history passed on to us by the older Gods. This is not new, Elijah clearly portrays this when he says,

"After Yakub's devils were among the Holy people of Islam (the black nation) for six months, they had our people at war with each other. The holy people were unable to understand, just why they could not get along in peace with each other (117)."

War doesn't have to be physical, war can be carried in a cold method where you are not actively present to affect the outcome, like adding on more "juice" to the gossip, and many other measures which lead to a sabotage of that persons hard produced creation.

If gossip is continued to embraced it will never allow us to be in peace amongst each other. There will always be some jealous so-called God or Earth pretending like he aint see you, one who will talk shit behind your back, and another that will spread an altered version of something that they did or were involved in. Gossip will prevent us to liberate ourselves from the 85 ways and will not allow us to fully identify the devil coming in the Name. Elijah's words, whom in the NGE we respect and to certain extents apply, couldn't have said it any better when he stated:

"A true Muslim would never boycott the place of business of his fellow Muslim or black brother. A true Muslim is proud of the success of his black sisters and brothers. He recognizes that their success is his success. He recognizes the law of Islam (175)."

Let's ask ourselves this question. Can the NGE truly build an infrastructure that will lead to our independence of the devil's civilization, if we are still dealing with the ills of the mentality of the devil? I say NO. I say that Gossip is one of those ills, and we should learn how to rid ourselves of it, so that we can start ACTING LIKE TRUE BROTHERS and SISTERS. How can we dialogue and start talking about an economic model for Gods and Earths if we ain't right and exact? To erase confusion, we must face each other, talk to each other in full honesty about everything, only then are we going to establish a mathematical and scientific society, the law and way of Islam. We must define the ethics and principles that guide the righteous society and not fall victim to the ways and actions of the grafted mentality. Let's Build and destroy right!

Peace, Earth Izayaa Allat.
